Can you put a card in media mail

According to the United States Postal Service (USPS), Media Mail is a cost-effective way to send books, CDs, DVDs, and other media items, but there are some restrictions on what can be sent via Media Mail.

Unfortunately, individual greeting cards are not eligible for Media Mail. According to the USPS, Media Mail is only available for sending "printed matter" that is:

  1. Books (including hardcover, paperback, and audiobooks)
  2. CDs (including music, data, and software)
  3. DVDs (including movies, TV shows, and data)
  4. Blu-ray discs
  5. Video games
  6. Printed music
  7. Printed educational materials (such as textbooks, workbooks, and educational software)

Greeting cards, including those with a personal message or a special occasion theme, are considered "non-printed matter" and are not eligible for Media Mail.

If you need to send a greeting card, you can use First-Class Mail or Priority Mail, which are more expensive options. However, if you're sending a large quantity of cards, you might consider using a flat rate envelope or a regional rate box, which can be more cost-effective.

Keep in mind that the USPS has specific guidelines and regulations for sending mail, so it's always a good idea to check their website or consult with a postal worker if you're unsure about the best way to send your item.
