Can you put normal mail in a priority post box

In the United States, the answer is no, you cannot put normal mail (also known as "first-class mail") in a Priority Mail box. Here's why:

Priority Mail boxes are specifically designed for Priority Mail shipments, which are a type of expedited mail service offered by the United States Postal Service (USPS). Priority Mail boxes are designed to be used with Priority Mail labels and are intended for packages that require faster and more reliable delivery.

Normal mail, on the other hand, is typically sent through the USPS's first-class mail service, which is a slower and more cost-effective option. First-class mail is typically delivered within 3-5 business days, whereas Priority Mail is typically delivered within 1-3 business days.

If you try to put normal mail in a Priority Mail box, the USPS may not accept it or may require you to use a different type of mail service. Additionally, using a Priority Mail box for normal mail may not provide the same level of tracking and insurance coverage as Priority Mail.

That being said, there are some exceptions. If you have a package that weighs less than 13 ounces and is going to a destination within the same zip code, you may be able to use a Priority Mail box for normal mail. However, this is not a guaranteed service and is subject to change.

In general, it's best to use the correct type of mail service and packaging for your specific needs to ensure that your mail is delivered efficiently and effectively.
