Can you send mail horde to alliance

A question that gets to the heart of World of Warcraft's faction politics!

In World of Warcraft, Horde and Alliance are two major factions that are at odds with each other. While it is technically possible to send mail between characters of different factions, there are some limitations and considerations to keep in mind:

  1. Cross-faction mail: You can send mail to characters of the opposite faction, but it will be flagged as "cross-faction" mail. This means that the recipient's mailbox will be marked with a warning icon, indicating that the mail is from an enemy faction.
  2. No automatic delivery: When you send mail to an Alliance character from a Horde character, or vice versa, the mail will not be automatically delivered to the recipient's mailbox. Instead, the mail will be stored in a special "cross-faction" mailbox, which can be accessed by the recipient.
  3. Recipient must accept mail: The recipient must manually accept the cross-faction mail by clicking on it in their mailbox. If they decline the mail, it will be deleted.
  4. No reputation gain: Sending mail to an enemy faction does not grant reputation with that faction.
  5. No trade: You cannot trade items with characters of the opposite faction through the mail system.

To send mail to an Alliance character from a Horde character, follow these steps:

  1. Open your mailbox and create a new mail by clicking on the "Compose Mail" button.
  2. Enter the recipient's name (Alliance character) in the "To" field.
  3. Write your message and attach any items you want to send.
  4. Click "Send" to send the mail.
  5. The mail will be stored in the recipient's cross-faction mailbox, which they must access manually.

Remember that sending mail to an enemy faction can be risky, as it may attract unwanted attention from other players or NPCs. Be cautious and consider the potential consequences before sending mail across the faction divide!
