Carddav thunderbird gmail
A great combination!
To set up CardDAV in Thunderbird with a Gmail account, you'll need to follow these steps:
Prerequisites:
- Make sure you have Thunderbird installed on your computer.
- Ensure you have a Gmail account set up and configured on your device.
- Enable CardDAV on your Gmail account (see below).
Enable CardDAV on your Gmail account:
- Log in to your Gmail account on a web browser.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select "Settings."
- Scroll down to the "Other" tab.
- Look for the "CardDAV" section and toggle the switch to "On."
- Click "Save Changes."
Set up CardDAV in Thunderbird:
- Open Thunderbird and go to "Tools" > "Account Settings."
- Click on "Add Mail Account" and select "Manual Setup."
- Select "CardDAV" as the account type.
- Enter the following information:

- Port:
5232

if you're using SSL/TLS) - Username: Your Gmail address (e.g.,

) - Password: Your Gmail password

- Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.
Verify the setup:
- Go to "Tools" > "Account Settings" again.
- Select your CardDAV account and click on "Edit."
- Verify that the account is connected and your contacts are syncing correctly.
That's it! You should now be able to access your Gmail contacts using CardDAV in Thunderbird.
