Subject: Battle Plans for the Conquest of Sicily

From: Hannibal Barca, Commander-in-Chief, Carthaginian Army To: All Carthaginian Soldiers and Allies

Date: 241 BCE

Message:

Fellow warriors,

As we prepare to set sail for the shores of Sicily, I want to remind you all of the importance of our mission. Our great city of Carthage has long been threatened by the growing power of Rome, and it is our duty to protect our interests and expand our empire.

Our plan is to march on the city of Agrigentum, a key stronghold of the Sicilian Greeks. We will use our superior cavalry and infantry to outmaneuver the enemy and capture the city. Once we have secured Agrigentum, we will push on to the rest of the island, taking control of the strategic ports and cities.

To ensure our success, I have ordered the following:

I expect each and every one of you to follow your orders and fight with honor and courage. We will not be defeated by the Sicilian Greeks or any other foe.

Additional Orders:

Conclusion:

We will triumph in this campaign, and our names will be etched in the annals of history as heroes of Carthage. Let us march forth with confidence and determination!

Hannibal Barca

Commander-in-Chief, Carthaginian Army
