Catchall email odoo

A catch-all email address in Odoo!

A catch-all email address is a special email address that receives all emails sent to any email address that doesn't exist in your Odoo instance. This can be useful for various purposes, such as:

  1. Error handling: If an email is sent to a non-existent email address, it will be caught by the catch-all email address, allowing you to handle the error and notify the sender.
  2. Forwarding: You can use the catch-all email address to forward emails to a specific email address or a group of email addresses.
  3. Monitoring: The catch-all email address can be used to monitor emails sent to non-existent email addresses, which can help you identify potential issues with your email infrastructure.

To set up a catch-all email address in Odoo, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > Email > Email Accounts.
  2. Click on the Create button to create a new email account.
  3. Fill in the required information, such as the email address and password.
  4. In the Catch-all field, select the Yes option.
  5. Click on the Save button to save the email account.

Once you've set up the catch-all email address, any emails sent to non-existent email addresses will be received by this email address.

Note that you can also configure the catch-all email address to forward emails to a specific email address or a group of email addresses. To do this, go to Settings > Email > Email Accounts, select the catch-all email account, and click on the Edit button. In the Forwarding section, select the Yes option and enter the email address or group of email addresses you want to forward emails to.
