A common abbreviation in emails!

"CC" stands for "Carbon Copy". It's a way to send a copy of an email to additional recipients, usually people who are not the primary addressee of the email, but who may be interested in the content or need to be informed about the conversation.

When you CC someone, they receive a copy of the email, but they are not the main recipient. The primary recipient is usually the person you are addressing in the email, and they are the one who is expected to take action or respond.

For example, if you send an email to John Smith (primary recipient) and also CC Jane Doe and Bob Johnson, Jane and Bob will receive a copy of the email, but John is the main person you are addressing.

CC is often used to:

• Keep others informed about a conversation or decision
• Request input or feedback from additional people
• Provide a record of communication to multiple parties

In contrast, "BCC" (Blind Carbon Copy) is used to send an email to additional recipients without revealing their email addresses to the primary recipient.
