Change adress for mail
Here are the steps to change your address for mail:
USPS (United States Postal Service)
- Go to the USPS website (www.usps.com) and click on "Change of Address" under the "Quick Tools" section.
- Fill out the online form with your current and new addresses, as well as your name and other relevant information.
- Pay the required fee (currently $40 for 1 year or $80 for 3 years).
- Submit the form and wait for confirmation from USPS.
Online Options
- USPS Online Change of Address: You can also change your address online through the USPS website.
- USPS Mobile App: You can also change your address using the USPS mobile app.
In-Person
- Visit your local post office: You can visit your local post office and fill out a change of address form in person.
- Provide identification: You will need to provide identification, such as a driver's license or passport, to prove your identity.
- Pay the fee: You will need to pay the required fee (currently $40 for 1 year or $80 for 3 years).
Other Options
- Mail Forwarding: If you're moving to a new address, you can set up mail forwarding with USPS. This will allow you to receive mail at your old address and have it forwarded to your new address.
- Change of Address Form: You can also download and print a change of address form from the USPS website and fill it out by hand.
Important Notes
- You must notify USPS of your address change at least 2 weeks before your move date.
