Change default mail client windows 7

To change the default mail client in Windows 7, you can follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Start button and type "Default Programs" in the search bar.
  2. Click on "Default Programs" in the search results.
  3. Click on "Associate a file type or protocol with a program" on the left side of the window.
  4. Click on "Set default programs" on the right side of the window.
  5. Select the email client you want to use as the default from the list of available programs.
  6. Click "OK" to save your changes.

Alternatively, you can also change the default mail client by modifying the registry. To do this:

  1. Click on the Start button and type "regedit" in the search bar.
  2. Click on "regedit" in the search results to open the Registry Editor.
  3. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto
  4. Right-click on the "mailto" key and select "Modify".
