Change from google account to mail
To change your Google account to a Gmail account, you'll need to follow these steps:
Step 1: Create a Gmail account
- Go to the Google Account sign-in page and click on "Create account".
- Fill out the required information, such as your name, email address, and password.
- Choose a username (this will be your new Gmail address).
- Fill out the security questions and answer them.
- Click on "Next" and then "Create account".
Step 2: Transfer your data from Google account to Gmail account
- Go to the Google Account settings page and click on "Data & personalization".
- Scroll down to the "Download, delete, or make a plan for your data" section.
- Click on "Download your data" and select the data you want to transfer (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.).
- Follow the prompts to download your data in a ZIP file.
- Extract the ZIP file and upload the data to your new Gmail account.
Step 3: Update your Google services to use your new Gmail account
- Go to the Google Account settings page and click on "Account settings".
- Scroll down to the "Sign-in & security" section.
- Click on "Sign-in options" and select "Google Account" as the sign-in method.
- Enter your new Gmail address and password.
- Click on "Save changes".
Step 4: Update your Google apps to use your new Gmail account
- Go to the Google Play Store or App Store and update your Google apps (e.g., Google Drive, Google Photos, etc.).
- Sign in with your new Gmail address and password.
Step 5: Update your bookmarks and shortcuts
- Update your bookmarks and shortcuts to point to your new Gmail address.
That's it! Your Google account should now be changed to a Gmail account.
