Job Description:

As a Class 1 Driver with Royal Mail, you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to customers across the UK. You will operate a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) or large goods vehicle (LGV) to transport mail and parcels to various destinations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive a HGV/LGV vehicle to deliver mail and parcels to customers
• Load and unload mail and parcels from the vehicle
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections
• Ensure the vehicle is maintained in a clean and safe condition
• Follow traffic regulations and road safety guidelines
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Meet delivery targets and deadlines

Requirements:

• Hold a valid Class 1 HGV/LGV driving license
• Have a minimum of 2 years' experience driving a HGV/LGV vehicle
• Be able to lift and move mail and parcels (up to 25kg)
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in delivery schedules
• Have good communication and customer service skills
• Be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
