Close hotmail

A blast from the past!

Hotmail was a popular free web-based email service that was launched in 1996 and was acquired by Microsoft in 1997. However, in 2013, Microsoft announced that it would be retiring the Hotmail brand and replacing it with Outlook.com.

As a result, Hotmail is no longer available as a standalone email service. If you had a Hotmail account, you were automatically migrated to Outlook.com, and your email address and account information were transferred to the new platform.

If you're looking to close your Outlook.com account, you can follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Outlook.com account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the page.
  3. Select "View all Outlook settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "Account" section.
  5. Click on "Delete account" or "Close account".
  6. Follow the prompts to confirm that you want to close your account.

Please note that closing your Outlook.com account will also delete all your emails, contacts, and other data associated with that account. If you're looking to delete your account, make sure you've backed up any important data you want to keep.
