Contacts in gmail windows 8 2014

A blast from the past!

In Gmail for Windows 8 in 2014, contacts were managed through the "People" app, which was a built-in app in Windows 8. Here's how you could access and manage your contacts:

  1. Open the "People" app: You could find the "People" app on your Windows 8 Start screen or by searching for it in the Search charm.
  2. Sign in to your Gmail account: Once you opened the "People" app, you would be prompted to sign in to your Gmail account. Enter your Gmail credentials to link your account to the app.
  3. View and manage contacts: After signing in, you would see a list of your contacts in the "People" app. You could view contact information, such as name, email address, phone number, and profile picture.
  4. Add new contacts: You could add new contacts by clicking the "Add a contact" button and entering the contact's information.
  5. Edit existing contacts: To edit an existing contact, simply click on the contact's name and make the necessary changes.
  6. Import contacts: You could also import contacts from other sources, such as Outlook or CSV files, by clicking the "Import contacts" button.
  7. Sync contacts: The "People" app would automatically sync your contacts with your Gmail account, so any changes you made would be reflected across all your devices.
