Cox email settings imap settings

Here are the IMAP settings for Cox email:

Incoming (IMAP) Settings:

• Server: imap.cox.net
• Port: 993
• Encryption: SSL/TLS
• Username: Your Cox email address (e.g. [yourname]@cox.net)
• Password: Your Cox email password

Outgoing (SMTP) Settings:

• Server: smtp.cox.net
• Port: 587
• Encryption: STARTTLS
• Username: Your Cox email address (e.g. [yourname]@cox.net)
• Password: Your Cox email password

Additional Settings:

• Authentication: Use the same username and password as your Cox email account.
• Connection Security: SSL/TLS
• Authentication Method: Normal Password

IMAP Client Settings:

• If you're using an IMAP client like Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or Apple Mail, you'll need to configure the client to use the above settings. Here are some general guidelines:
  • In Outlook, go to File > Account Settings > Account > More Settings > Advanced > Incoming server (IMAP) and enter the IMAP server and port.
  • In Thunderbird, go to Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings > IMAP and enter the IMAP server and port.
  • In Apple Mail, go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > [Your Account] > Advanced > Incoming Mail Server and enter the IMAP server and port.
