Cox email setup
Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up your Cox email account:
Method 1: Setting up Cox Email on a Computer
- Open a web browser and go to www.cox.net.
- Click on the "Email" tab at the top of the page.
- Enter your Cox email address and password in the required fields.
- Click on the "Sign In" button.
- Once you're signed in, you'll be taken to your Cox email inbox.
- Click on the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear icon) in the top right corner of the page.
- Click on "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Account" section and click on "Edit" next to "Account Name".
- Enter your name and click "Save".
- Scroll down to the "Password" section and click on "Edit" next to "Password".
- Enter your new password and confirm it by re-entering it in the "Confirm Password" field.
- Click "Save" to save your changes.
Method 2: Setting up Cox Email on a Mobile Device (Android or iOS)
- Open the email app on your mobile device (e.g. Gmail, Outlook, etc.).
- Tap on the "Settings" icon (represented by a gear icon) in the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap on "Add Account" or "Set up email" and select "Other" or "Custom".
- Enter your Cox email address and password in the required fields.
- Tap on "Next" or "Continue".
- Enter the following settings:
- Server: imap.cox.net
- Port: 993
- Security: SSL/TLS
- Username: Your Cox email address
- Password: Your Cox email password
- Tap on "Next" or "Continue" to save your changes.
Additional Tips
- Make sure you're using the correct email address and password.
- If you're having trouble setting up your Cox email account, try restarting your device or checking your internet connection.
- Cox email accounts have a 2-factor authentication (2FA) feature that requires you to enter a verification code sent to your phone or another device in addition to your password. If you're having trouble setting up 2FA, contact Cox customer support for assistance.
