Create a new mail folder in gmail
To create a new mail folder in Gmail, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Inbox type" section.
- Click on the "Create new label" button.
- Enter a name for your new folder in the "Label name" field.
- Click on the "Create" button.
Your new folder will now be created and will appear in the left-hand sidebar of your Gmail inbox. You can also create subfolders by clicking on the "New label" button again and entering a name for the subfolder.
Alternatively, you can also create a new folder by using the following keyboard shortcut:
- Windows: Ctrl + Shift + L
- Mac: Command + Shift + L
This will open the "Create new label" window, where you can enter the name for your new folder.
Note: In Gmail, labels are used instead of folders. Labels are a way to categorize and organize your emails, and they can be applied to multiple emails at once.
