Crossed out text gmail
You're referring to the "crossed out" or "strikethrough" text feature in Gmail!
To use this feature, you can follow these steps:
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing one in Gmail.
- Type the text you want to strikethrough, and then select it by dragging your mouse over the text or by pressing Ctrl+A (Windows) or Command+A (Mac) to select all the text.
- Click on the "Format" button in the toolbar, which looks like a paint roller.
- In the dropdown menu, click on "Strikethrough" (or press Ctrl+Shift+5 on Windows or Command+Shift+5 on Mac).
- The selected text will now be crossed out with a horizontal line.
Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+5 (Windows) or Command+Shift+5 (Mac) to strikethrough the selected text.
Note that this feature is only available in the web version of Gmail, and not in the mobile app.
