Custom subject line mail merge

A custom subject line in a mail merge!

In a mail merge, you can use a custom subject line by using a merge field that contains the desired subject line text. Here's how:

Using Microsoft Word:

  1. Create a new document in Microsoft Word and set up your mail merge as usual.
  2. In the "Write & Insert Fields" dialog box, click on the "Insert Merge Field" button.
  3. Select the field you want to use for the subject line from the list of available fields.
  4. In the "Field Properties" dialog box, click on the "Format" tab.
  5. In the "Format" tab, click on the "Subject" button.
  6. Enter the desired subject line text in the "Subject" field.
  7. Click "OK" to close the "Field Properties" dialog box.
  8. Click "OK" again to close the "Write & Insert Fields" dialog box.
  9. The custom subject line will now be inserted into your email message.

Using Microsoft Outlook:

  1. Create a new email message in Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Click on the "Insert" menu and select "Quick Parts" > "Field".
  3. Select the field you want to use for the subject line from the list of available fields.
  4. In the "Field Properties" dialog box, click on the "Format" tab.
  5. In the "Format" tab, click on the "Subject" button.
  6. Enter the desired subject line text in the "Subject" field.
  7. Click "OK" to close the "Field Properties" dialog box.
  8. The custom subject line will now be inserted into your email message.

Using a mail merge software:

If you're using a mail merge software like Mailchimp or Constant Contact, you can usually set up a custom subject line by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your mail merge software account.
  2. Create a new campaign or email message.
  3. Click on the "Subject" field and enter the desired subject line text.
  4. Use merge fields to insert dynamic data into the subject line, such as the recipient's name or company name.
  5. Click "Save" to save your changes.
  6. The custom subject line will now be inserted into your email message.
