Delete labels in gmail
To delete labels in Gmail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Delete a label from the Labels page
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the "Labels" tab.
- Find the label you want to delete and click on the trash can icon () next to it.
- Confirm that you want to delete the label by clicking "OK".
Method 2: Delete a label from a label's page
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the label you want to delete.
- Click on the three vertical dots () at the top right corner of the page.
- Select "Delete label" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the label by clicking "OK".
Method 3: Delete multiple labels at once
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the "Labels" tab.
- Check the boxes next to the labels you want to delete.
- Click on the "Delete" button at the top of the page.
- Confirm that you want to delete the labels by clicking "OK".
Note: When you delete a label, all messages that were previously labeled with that label will no longer have that label. However, the messages themselves will not be deleted.
