Delete mail from macbook
To delete mail from your MacBook, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Delete individual emails
- Open the Mail app on your MacBook.
- Select the email account you want to delete emails from.
- Click on the email you want to delete.
- Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard or right-click on the email and select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the email by clicking "Delete" in the pop-up window.
Method 2: Delete multiple emails at once
- Open the Mail app on your MacBook.
- Select the email account you want to delete emails from.
- Select the emails you want to delete by holding down the "Command" key (⌘) and clicking on each email.
- Right-click on one of the selected emails and select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the emails by clicking "Delete" in the pop-up window.
Method 3: Empty the Trash
- Open the Mail app on your MacBook.
- Select the email account you want to empty the Trash from.
- Click on "Mailbox" in the top menu bar and select "Empty Trash" from the drop-down menu.
- Confirm that you want to empty the Trash by clicking "Empty" in the pop-up window.
Method 4: Permanently delete emails
- Open the Mail app on your MacBook.
- Select the email account you want to permanently delete emails from.
- Click on "Mailbox" in the top menu bar and select "Compact" from the drop-down menu.
- Confirm that you want to permanently delete the emails by clicking "Compact" in the pop-up window.
Note: When you delete emails, they are moved to the Trash folder. If you want to permanently delete them, you need to empty the Trash folder.
