Delete mail from macbook

To delete mail from your MacBook, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Delete individual emails

  1. Open the Mail app on your MacBook.
  2. Select the email account you want to delete emails from.
  3. Click on the email you want to delete.
  4. Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard or right-click on the email and select "Delete" from the context menu.
  5. Confirm that you want to delete the email by clicking "Delete" in the pop-up window.

Method 2: Delete multiple emails at once

  1. Open the Mail app on your MacBook.
  2. Select the email account you want to delete emails from.
  3. Select the emails you want to delete by holding down the "Command" key (⌘) and clicking on each email.
  4. Right-click on one of the selected emails and select "Delete" from the context menu.
  5. Confirm that you want to delete the emails by clicking "Delete" in the pop-up window.

Method 3: Empty the Trash

  1. Open the Mail app on your MacBook.
  2. Select the email account you want to empty the Trash from.
  3. Click on "Mailbox" in the top menu bar and select "Empty Trash" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to empty the Trash by clicking "Empty" in the pop-up window.

Method 4: Permanently delete emails

  1. Open the Mail app on your MacBook.
  2. Select the email account you want to permanently delete emails from.
  3. Click on "Mailbox" in the top menu bar and select "Compact" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to permanently delete the emails by clicking "Compact" in the pop-up window.

Note: When you delete emails, they are moved to the Trash folder. If you want to permanently delete them, you need to empty the Trash folder.
