Delete search history gmail

Here's how to delete your search history in Gmail:

Method 1: Delete search history from the Gmail search bar

  1. Sign in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the search bar at the top of the page.
  3. Click on the three vertical dots next to the search bar.
  4. Select "Search history" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click on "Clear search history" to delete all search queries.

Method 2: Delete search history from the Google Account settings

  1. Sign in to your Google Account settings.
  2. Click on the "Data & personalization" tab.
  3. Scroll down to the "Activity controls" section.
  4. Click on "Web & App Activity".
  5. Toggle off "Include Chrome browsing history and activity from websites and apps that use Google services" to disable search history tracking.
  6. Click on "Next" and then "Delete" to confirm.

Method 3: Delete search history using the Google Takeout tool

  1. Sign in to your Google Account settings.
  2. Click on the "Data & personalization" tab.
  3. Scroll down to the "Download, delete, or make a plan for your data" section.
  4. Click on "Download your data".
  5. Select "Deselect all" and then check the box next to "Search history".
  6. Click on "Next" and then "Create archive" to download your search history.
  7. Once the archive is downloaded, you can delete the search history files manually.

Note: Deleting your search history will remove all search queries and suggestions from your Gmail account. However, it's important to note that Google may still retain some search data for security and quality improvement purposes.
