Do royal mail deliver on bank holidays 2019
According to Royal Mail's website, they do not deliver on the following bank holidays in 2019:
- New Year's Day - Tuesday, January 1, 2019
- Good Friday - Friday, April 19, 2019
- Easter Monday - Monday, April 22, 2019
- Early May Bank Holiday - Monday, May 6, 2019
- Spring Bank Holiday - Monday, May 27, 2019
- Summer Bank Holiday - Monday, August 26, 2019 (except in Scotland, where it is on Monday, August 5, 2019)
- Christmas Day - Wednesday, December 25, 2019
- Boxing Day - Thursday, December 26, 2019
However, Royal Mail does offer a special delivery service on bank holidays, known as "Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm" and "Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am", which guarantees delivery on the next working day.
Additionally, Royal Mail's standard postal services, such as 1st Class and 2nd Class mail, will be delivered on bank holidays, but the delivery times may be affected.
