Does hotmail have chat rooms

A blast from the past!

Hotmail, which was acquired by Microsoft in 1997, was one of the first free web-based email services. While it was popular in its heyday, Hotmail's features have evolved over the years, and chat rooms are no longer a part of its service.

In the early 2000s, Hotmail did offer a feature called "Hotmail Chat" or "MSN Chat" (MSN being Microsoft Network), which allowed users to engage in real-time text-based conversations with friends and family. However, this feature was discontinued around 2005-2006.

Today, Hotmail has been replaced by Outlook.com, which is a more modern and feature-rich email service. Outlook.com offers various ways to communicate with others, including:

  1. Email: Send and receive emails with friends, family, and colleagues.
  2. Skype: Make voice and video calls, as well as send instant messages, with other Skype users.
  3. Outlook Groups: Join or create groups to discuss topics with others, similar to chat rooms.

While there are no traditional chat rooms on Outlook.com, you can still engage in real-time conversations with others using these features.
