Does the post open your mail

I think there may be a bit of confusion here!

The "post" refers to the postal service, which is responsible for delivering mail and packages to people's homes and businesses. The postal service does not "open" your mail, as that would be a violation of privacy and a breach of trust.

Instead, the postal service delivers your mail to your mailbox or doorstep, and it's up to you to open and read the contents. If you receive a package or envelope with a secure closure, such as a seal or tape, you'll need to open it yourself to access the contents.

However, in some cases, the postal service may open your mail if it's deemed necessary for security or safety reasons. For example, if a package is suspected of containing illegal or harmful materials, the postal service may open it to inspect its contents. Similarly, if a package is damaged or appears to be tampered with, the postal service may open it to ensure the contents are safe and secure.

But in general, the postal service does not open your mail without your permission or a valid reason.
