Does turbotax mail your taxes for you

TurboTax does offer a feature called "Direct Deposit" or "Electronic Filing" that allows you to file your taxes electronically and receive your refund directly into your bank account. However, they do not mail your taxes for you.

When you file your taxes with TurboTax, you can choose to have your return filed electronically, which means it will be submitted to the IRS and your state tax authority (if applicable) electronically. This is the most common and fastest way to file your taxes, as it allows you to receive your refund in as little as 8-14 days.

If you prefer to receive a physical copy of your tax return, you can print it out from your TurboTax account or request a paper copy from the IRS. However, this may take longer and may not be as secure as electronic filing.

Here are the steps to print or request a paper copy of your tax return from TurboTax:

  1. Log in to your TurboTax account and go to the "Tax Return" tab.
  2. Click on "Print or Download" and select "Print" or "Download as PDF".
  3. Choose the type of document you want to print or download (e.g. 1040, W-2, etc.).
  4. If you want to print, select the printer and paper size you prefer.
  5. If you want to download as a PDF, choose a location to save the file.

Alternatively, you can request a paper copy of your tax return from the IRS by calling the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 or by visiting the IRS website and filling out Form 4506, Request for Copy of Tax Return. There may be a fee for this service.

It's worth noting that TurboTax does offer a "Tax Audit Defense" service, which includes a guarantee that they will represent you in the event of an audit. However, this service does not include mailing your taxes for you.
