Does usps deliver mail on saturday 2017
A question from the past!
In 2017, the United States Postal Service (USPS) did deliver mail on Saturdays, but with some limitations.
Prior to 2013, the USPS delivered mail and packages six days a week, including Saturdays. However, in 2013, the USPS began to reduce its Saturday delivery service to five days a week, with the exception of Priority Mail Express and certain packages.
In 2017, the USPS continued to deliver mail and packages on Saturdays, but with some restrictions. Here are the details:
- First-Class Mail, including letters and flats, were no longer delivered on Saturdays.
- Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express packages were still delivered on Saturdays.
- Periodicals, such as newspapers and magazines, were still delivered on Saturdays.
- Some packages, such as those sent via Parcel Select and Parcel Post, were still delivered on Saturdays.
It's worth noting that the USPS has since changed its delivery schedule again. As of 2020, the USPS no longer delivers mail on Saturdays, except for Priority Mail Express and certain packages.
