Does windows 10 mail app support the mapi protocol

According to Microsoft's documentation, the Windows 10 Mail app does not support the MAPI (Messaging Application Programming Interface) protocol out of the box.

MAPI is a proprietary protocol developed by Microsoft, and it's primarily used by Microsoft Outlook to communicate with email servers and manage email accounts. While the Windows 10 Mail app is designed to be a more lightweight and modern alternative to Outlook, it doesn't natively support MAPI.

However, there are a few workarounds you can try if you need to use MAPI with the Windows 10 Mail app:

  1. Use the Outlook app: If you have Outlook installed on your Windows 10 device, you can use it to access your email accounts and take advantage of MAPI support.
  2. Use a third-party email client: Some third-party email clients, such as Mozilla Thunderbird or eM Client, support MAPI and can be used as an alternative to the Windows 10 Mail app.
  3. Use a MAPI bridge: There are some third-party tools and libraries available that can act as a MAPI bridge, allowing you to use the Windows 10 Mail app with MAPI-enabled email accounts. For example, you can try using the MAPI Bridge tool from CodePlex.

Keep in mind that using a third-party solution or workaround may require additional configuration and setup, and may not be as seamless as using a native MAPI-supported client like Outlook.
