Does y mail still exist

A blast from the past!

Yes, Yahoo! Mail still exists, but it's not as popular as it once was. Yahoo! Mail was one of the first free web-based email services, launched in 1997. At its peak in the early 2000s, it had over 250 million users.

However, in recent years, Yahoo! Mail's user base has declined significantly due to increased competition from other free email services like Gmail, Outlook, and ProtonMail. According to recent statistics, Yahoo! Mail has around 30-40 million active users.

Despite this decline, Yahoo! Mail still offers a range of features, including:

  1. Free email accounts with 1 TB of storage space
  2. Support for attachments up to 25 MB
  3. Spam and virus protection
  4. Integration with other Yahoo! services, such as Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Finance, and Yahoo! Sports
  5. Mobile apps for Android and iOS devices

In 2013, Yahoo! was acquired by Verizon, which later merged Yahoo!'s core internet business with AOL to form Oath, a subsidiary of Verizon Media. In 2020, Verizon Media announced that it would be shutting down Yahoo! Mail Classic, a legacy version of the service, and transitioning users to a new, more modern version of Yahoo! Mail.

So, while Yahoo! Mail may not be as dominant as it once was, it still exists and offers a range of features to its users.
