The domestic mail postage rate in the United States is set by the United States Postal Service (USPS) and is subject to change periodically. As of 2022, the domestic mail postage rates are as follows:
Letters
- 1-ounce letter (up to 1 oz): $0.55
- 2-ounce letter (1.01-2 oz): $0.70
- 3-ounce letter (2.01-3 oz): $0.85
- 1-ounce letter (over 3 oz): $1.00
Large Envelopes
- Flat rate envelope (up to 13 oz): $7.50
- Flat rate envelope (over 13 oz): $13.50
Packages
- Priority Mail (up to 70 lbs): $7.95 (small box), $14.35 (medium box), $20.35 (large box)
- Priority Mail Regional Rate (up to 70 lbs): $6.95 (small box), $12.35 (medium box), $18.35 (large box)
- Parcel Post (up to 70 lbs): $13.95 (small box), $24.95 (medium box), $34.95 (large box)
Other Services
- Certified Mail: $3.45 (first ounce), $0.15 each additional ounce
- Return Receipt: $1.45 (first ounce), $0.15 each additional ounce
- Signature Confirmation: $3.45 (first ounce), $0.15 each additional ounce
