Draft files in windows 10 mail
In Windows 10 Mail app, you can draft emails and save them as drafts for later use. Here's how:
To draft an email:
- Open the Windows 10 Mail app.
- Click on the "New" button (represented by a plus sign) to create a new email.
- Enter the recipient's email address, subject, and compose your message in the body of the email.
- Click on the "Drafts" button at the top of the compose window to save the email as a draft.
To view and edit drafts:
- Open the Windows 10 Mail app.
- Click on the "Drafts" button at the top of the navigation pane (left side of the window).
- You'll see a list of all your saved drafts. Click on a draft to open it and edit it.
- Make any changes you need, then click on the "Send" button to send the email or click on the "Drafts" button to save it again.
To delete a draft:
- Open the Windows 10 Mail app.
- Click on the "Drafts" button at the top of the navigation pane.
- Select the draft you want to delete by checking the box next to it.
- Click on the "Delete" button at the top of the window.
Tips:
- You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+D to save an email as a draft.
- Drafts are stored on your device and are not synced with your email account, so they will not be accessible from other devices or email clients.
- If you're using a Microsoft account to sign in to the Mail app, your drafts will be synced across all devices and apps that use the same account.
