Echoer netzero mail

A blast from the past!

EchoMail was a free web-based email service provided by NetZero, a popular internet service provider (ISP) in the late 1990s and early 2000s. NetZero was known for its free dial-up internet access, and EchoMail was a way for users to access their email accounts online.

Here are some key features of EchoMail:

  1. Free email service: EchoMail was a free email service that allowed users to create an email account with a @echo.netzero.com address.
  2. Web-based interface: Users could access their email accounts through a web-based interface, eliminating the need for a dedicated email client.
  3. Limited storage: EchoMail accounts had limited storage space, typically around 2-5 MB.
  4. Advertising: To generate revenue, NetZero displayed ads on the EchoMail interface.
  5. Integration with NetZero: EchoMail was tightly integrated with NetZero's internet service, allowing users to access their email accounts from anywhere, as long as they had an active NetZero account.

EchoMail was popular among NetZero users, but it eventually phased out as other free email services like Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, and Hotmail gained popularity. Today, NetZero is no longer a major ISP, and EchoMail is largely a relic of the past.
