Edit mail outlook
Here are some common ways to edit a message in Outlook:
Editing a message in the Reading Pane
- Open Outlook and navigate to the Inbox or other folder where the message is located.
- Select the message you want to edit by clicking on it.
- The message will open in the Reading Pane, which is the area below the folder list.
- Make the changes you want to the message, such as editing the subject, adding or removing attachments, or changing the text.
- Click the "Send" button to send the updated message.
Editing a message in a new window
- Open Outlook and navigate to the Inbox or other folder where the message is located.
- Select the message you want to edit by clicking on it.
- Right-click on the message and select "Open" or press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+O.
- The message will open in a new window.
- Make the changes you want to the message, such as editing the subject, adding or removing attachments, or changing the text.
- Click the "Send" button to send the updated message.
Using the Quick Steps feature
- Open Outlook and navigate to the Inbox or other folder where the message is located.
- Select the message you want to edit by clicking on it.
- Click on the "Quick Steps" button in the Home tab of the ribbon.
- Select the "Edit Message" option from the drop-down menu.
- Make the changes you want to the message, such as editing the subject, adding or removing attachments, or changing the text.
- Click the "Send" button to send the updated message.
Using the Sweep feature
- Open Outlook and navigate to the Inbox or other folder where the message is located.
- Select the message you want to edit by clicking on it.
- Click on the "Sweep" button in the Home tab of the ribbon.
- Select the "Edit Message" option from the drop-down menu.
- Make the changes you want to the message, such as editing the subject, adding or removing attachments, or changing the text.
- Click the "Send" button to send the updated message.
