Edit mailing list outlook
Here are some common tasks you can perform to edit a mailing list in Outlook:
1. Create a new mailing list:
- Go to the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.
- Click on "New Contact" and enter the name and email address of the person you want to add to the list.
- Click "Save & Close".
- Repeat this process for each person you want to add to the list.
- Once you have added all the contacts, you can create a new mailing list by going to "Home" tab > "Contacts" group > "Create a new mailing list".
2. Edit an existing mailing list:
- Go to the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.
- Find the mailing list you want to edit and right-click on it.
- Select "Edit Mailing List" from the context menu.
- In the "Edit Mailing List" window, you can add or remove contacts from the list, or edit the list's name and description.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
3. Add or remove contacts from a mailing list:
- Go to the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.
- Find the mailing list you want to edit and right-click on it.
- Select "Edit Mailing List" from the context menu.
- In the "Edit Mailing List" window, you can add or remove contacts from the list by checking or unchecking the boxes next to their names.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
4. Merge two mailing lists:
- Go to the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.
- Find the two mailing lists you want to merge and right-click on each one.
- Select "Edit Mailing List" from the context menu.
- In the "Edit Mailing List" window, you can add contacts from one list to the other by checking the boxes next to their names.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
5. Export a mailing list:
- Go to the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.
- Find the mailing list you want to export and right-click on it.
- Select "Export" from the context menu.
- In the "Export" window, select "Comma Separated Values (CSV)" as the file format and choose a location to save the file.
- Click "Export" to export the mailing list.
6. Import a mailing list:
- Go to the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.
- Right-click on the "Contacts" folder and select "Import/Export".
- In the "Import/Export" window, select "Import from another program or file" and choose the file format (e.g. CSV).
- Select the file you want to import and click "Open".
- In the "Import" window, select the mailing list you want to import into and click "OK".
7. Delete a mailing list:
- Go to the "Contacts" folder in Outlook.
- Find the mailing list you want to delete and right-click on it.
- Select "Delete" from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the mailing list by clicking "OK".
