Email cc stand for
In email, "CC" stands for "Carbon Copy". It's a way to send a copy of an email to additional recipients who may not necessarily need to take action on the email, but may be interested in the content or want to be kept informed.
When you CC someone, they will receive a copy of the email, but they will not be able to respond to the email or take any action on it. The original recipient(s) listed in the "To" field are the ones who are expected to take action on the email.
The CC field is often used for:
- Keeping others informed about a conversation or decision
- Providing additional context or information to someone who may not be directly involved in the conversation
- Sending a copy of an email to someone who may not need to take action, but wants to be aware of the content
For example, if you're sending an email to a colleague about a project update, you might CC your manager or other team members who are interested in the project's progress, but don't need to take action on the email.
