Embarq voicemail instructions residential
Here are the instructions for setting up and using Embarq voicemail for residential customers:
Setting Up Voicemail
- Lift the receiver and listen for the voicemail prompt. You will hear a message saying "Welcome to Embarq Voicemail. Please enter your password."
- Enter your 4-digit voicemail password. If you haven't set up a password yet, you can press 3 to set one up.
- Follow the prompts to record your name and set up your voicemail greeting.
Recording a Greeting
- To record a greeting, press 2.
- Speak your greeting clearly and slowly. You can record up to 30 seconds.
- To review your greeting, press 2 again.
- To save your greeting, press 1.
Checking Voicemail
- Lift the receiver and listen for the voicemail prompt.
- Enter your 4-digit voicemail password.
- Press 1 to listen to your messages.
- Use the following keys to navigate:
- 1: Play next message
- 2: Play previous message
- 3: Save message
- 4: Delete message
- 5: Go back to main menu
Saving and Deleting Messages
- To save a message, press 3.
- To delete a message, press 4.
Transferring Calls to Voicemail
- When you're on a call and need to take another call, press the "Transfer" button on your phone.
- Say "Transfer to voicemail" and the caller will be sent to your voicemail.
Voicemail Options
- To change your voicemail password, press 3 and follow the prompts.
- To change your voicemail greeting, press 2 and follow the prompts.
- To check your voicemail from another phone, dial your phone number and press 2 when prompted.
Troubleshooting
- If you're having trouble accessing your voicemail, try resetting your password by pressing 3 and following the prompts.
