Emich email google docs
Here are the steps to access your EMU email account and Google Drive/Docs from a Google account:
Step 1: Log in to your EMU email account
- Go to the Eastern Michigan University (EMU) email login page: https://email.emich.edu
- Enter your EMU email username and password to log in.
Step 2: Enable IMAP and set up your email account in Google
- Log in to your Google account (e.g., Gmail).
- Go to the Google Account settings page: https://myaccount.google.com
- Click on "Data & personalization" and then "Create a new device"
- Select "Other" as the device type and enter a name for the device (e.g., "EMU Email")
- Enter your EMU email account credentials (username and password) and click "Next"
- Enable IMAP and set up your email account as follows:
- Server: imap.emich.edu
- Port: 993
- Username: your EMU email username
- Password: your EMU email password
- Encryption: SSL/TLS
- Click "Add account" to complete the setup.
Step 3: Access your EMU email account in Google Drive/Docs
- Log in to your Google Drive/Docs account: https://drive.google.com or https://docs.google.com
- Click on the "New" button to create a new document or folder.
- In the "Create new" dropdown menu, select "From email" and choose your EMU email account from the list of available accounts.
- Your EMU email account will now be linked to your Google Drive/Docs account, and you can access your email attachments and files from within Google Drive/Docs.
Note: You may need to enable the "Less secure app access" setting in your EMU email account settings to allow Google to access your email account. To do this, log in to your EMU email account, go to the "Settings" icon (looks like a gear), and click on "Account settings". Then, click on "Security" and toggle the "Less secure app access" switch to the "On" position.
