Emich mail server settings

Eastern Michigan University (EMU) uses a Microsoft Exchange-based email system. Here are the typical mail server settings for EMU:

Incoming Mail Server (POP3/IMAP):

• Server: outlook.office365.com
• Port: 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3)
• Encryption: SSL/TLS
• Username: Your EMU email address (e.g., [yourname]@emich.edu)
• Password: Your EMU email password

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):

• Server: outlook.office365.com
• Port: 587
• Encryption: TLS
• Username: Your EMU email address (e.g., [yourname]@emich.edu)
• Password: Your EMU email password

Additional Settings:

• Authentication: Use the same username and password for both incoming and outgoing servers.
• Leave a copy on the server: You can choose to leave a copy of your emails on the server or delete them after downloading.
• Check for new messages: You can set the frequency for checking for new messages, such as every 15 minutes or every hour.

Mobile Device Settings:

• If you're setting up your EMU email account on a mobile device, you may need to use the following settings:
