To set up CardDAV with FastMail and Outlook, you'll need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Enable CardDAV in FastMail

  1. Log in to your FastMail account.
  2. Go to Settings > Account > CardDAV.
  3. Enable CardDAV and note down the URL and port number (e.g., https://yourdomain.com:8443/carddav).

Step 2: Add the CardDAV account in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
  2. Select "Manual setup or additional server types" and click "Next".
  3. Choose "CardDAV" as the account type and click "Connect".
  4. Enter the following information:
    • Server: The CardDAV URL you noted down in Step 1 (e.g., https://yourdomain.com:8443/carddav).
    • User name: Your FastMail username.
    • Password: Your FastMail password.
  5. Click "Next" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.

Step 3: Configure Outlook to use CardDAV

  1. In Outlook, go to File > Account Settings > Account Options.
  2. Under "Account Options", select "CardDAV" and click "Edit".
  3. In the "CardDAV" settings, enter the following information:
    • Server: The same CardDAV URL as in Step 2.
    • User name: Your FastMail username.
    • Password: Your FastMail password.
  4. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Step 4: Sync your contacts

  1. Outlook should now be connected to your FastMail CardDAV account.
  2. Your contacts should start syncing between Outlook and FastMail.

That's it! You should now have CardDAV set up between FastMail and Outlook. If you encounter any issues, feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to help you troubleshoot.
