Fastmail imap settings mac mail

To set up FastMail's IMAP settings in Mac Mail, follow these steps:

1. Open Mac Mail on your Mac.
2. Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences".
3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
4. Click the "+" button at the bottom left corner of the window to create a new account.
5. Select "Other Mail Account" and click "Continue".
6. Enter your FastMail email address and password, and click "Create".
7. In the "Account Information" section, select "IMAP" as the account type.
8. In the "Incoming Mail Server" field, enter imap.fastmail.com.
9. In the "User Name" field, enter your FastMail email address.
10. In the "Password" field, enter your FastMail password.
11. In the "Outgoing Mail Server" field, enter smtp.fastmail.com.
12. Leave the "User Name" and "Password" fields blank, as they will be automatically filled in.
13. Click "Continue" to save the changes.

• Server: imap.fastmail.com
• Port: 993
• Encryption: SSL/TLS
• Authentication: Password

And here are the SMTP settings for FastMail:

• Server: smtp.fastmail.com
• Port: 587
• Encryption: STARTTLS
• Authentication: Password

Once you've entered these settings, click "Create" to save the new account. You should now be able to access your FastMail email account using Mac Mail.

Note: Make sure to enable IMAP in your FastMail account settings by going to the "Settings" page, clicking on "Accounts", and then clicking on the "IMAP" tab.
