First class mail tracking package

The joys of tracking a package!

First-Class Mail is a type of mail service offered by the United States Postal Service (USPS) that provides fast and reliable delivery of letters, flats, and packages. While First-Class Mail does not typically offer tracking for individual packages, there are some exceptions and workarounds to help you keep tabs on your package. Here's what you need to know:

Tracking options for First-Class Mail packages:

  1. First-Class Package Service: This service is designed for packages weighing up to 13 ounces and offers tracking and delivery confirmation. You can use the USPS Tracking tool to track your package.
  2. Priority Mail: This service is designed for packages weighing up to 70 pounds and offers tracking, delivery confirmation, and insurance. You can use the USPS Tracking tool to track your package.
  3. Signature Confirmation: This service is an optional add-on for First-Class Mail packages that requires the recipient to sign for the package upon delivery. You can use the USPS Tracking tool to track your package and verify delivery.

How to track a First-Class Mail package:

  1. Use the USPS Tracking tool: Go to the USPS website (www.usps.com) and click on "Track & Confirm" at the top of the page. Enter your tracking number (if available) or the recipient's address to track your package.
  2. Check your email: If you provided an email address when sending the package, you may receive updates on the package's status via email.
  3. Contact the post office: If you're unable to track your package online, you can contact the post office where you sent the package to ask about its status.
