Flagged mail ios 7 vs
The joys of flagged emails!
In iOS 7, Apple introduced a new way to manage flagged emails, which is different from the way it worked in earlier versions of iOS. Here's a brief comparison:
iOS 6 and earlier:
- When you flagged an email, it would move to a separate "Flagged" mailbox in your Mail app.
- You could access the Flagged mailbox by tapping on the "Flagged" tab in the Mail app's sidebar.
- Flagged emails would remain in their original mailbox (e.g., Inbox, Sent, etc.) and would also be moved to the Flagged mailbox.
iOS 7 and later:
- When you flag an email, it will now be marked with a flag icon () in the email list, but it will not be moved to a separate mailbox.
- You can access flagged emails by tapping on the "Flagged" filter in the Mail app's search bar. This will show you a list of all flagged emails across all your mailboxes.
- Flagged emails will remain in their original mailbox and will not be duplicated in the Flagged mailbox.
In summary, in iOS 7 and later, flagged emails are marked with a flag icon in the email list, but they are not moved to a separate mailbox. Instead, you need to use the "Flagged" filter in the search bar to access them.
