Gmail colour code contacts

In Gmail, you can color-code your contacts to categorize them and make them easier to manage. Here's how:

Method 1: Using Labels

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the "Contacts" button in the top navigation bar.
  3. Click on the "Labels" tab.
  4. Click on the "New label" button.
  5. Enter a name for your label (e.g., "Work", "Friends", "Family", etc.).
  6. Click "Create".
  7. Select the contacts you want to add to the label by checking the boxes next to their names.
  8. Click "Apply label" and select the label you just created.

Method 2: Using Categories

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the "Contacts" button in the top navigation bar.
  3. Click on the "Categories" tab.
  4. Click on the "New category" button.
  5. Enter a name for your category (e.g., "Work", "Friends", "Family", etc.).
  6. Click "Create".
  7. Select the contacts you want to add to the category by checking the boxes next to their names.
  8. Click "Apply category" and select the category you just created.
