Gmail drive inbox

You're referring to the integration between Google Drive and Gmail!

When you enable the "Inbox" feature in Google Drive, you can access your Gmail inbox directly from the Drive interface. This allows you to:

  1. View and manage your emails: You can view your Gmail inbox, read and respond to emails, and even compose new emails directly from Drive.
  2. Attach files from Drive to emails: You can easily attach files from your Google Drive to your emails, making it convenient to share files with others.
  3. Search and filter emails: You can use the search bar in Drive to find specific emails, and filter them by labels, sender, or other criteria.

To enable the "Inbox" feature in Google Drive:

  1. Sign in to your Google Drive account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select "Settings".
  3. Scroll down to the "Integrations" section and toggle the switch next to "Inbox" to the "On" position.
  4. Click "Save" to save your changes.

Once enabled, you'll see a new "Inbox" tab in the left-hand menu of your Drive interface. Clicking on this tab will take you to your Gmail inbox, where you can manage your emails as usual.

Note that this feature is only available if you have a Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) account or a personal Google account with the "Inbox" feature enabled.
