Tips and Considerations
- Make sure IMAP is enabled on your email provider's server.
- Use the same username and password for IMAP as you do for POP or webmail.
- If you're using two-factor authentication (2FA), you may need to generate an app password or use an authentication app like Google Authenticator.
- IMAP can be slower than POP, as it retrieves email messages from the server instead of downloading them locally.
- If you're experiencing issues with IMAP, try checking your email provider's settings or contacting their support team for assistance.
