Gmail important mail

In Gmail, important emails are marked with a red exclamation mark (!) or a star () to indicate their priority. Here are some ways to mark an email as important in Gmail:

  1. Starred emails: You can star an email by clicking on the star icon () in the top right corner of the email. This will mark the email as important and move it to the "Starred" label.
  2. Important label: You can also mark an email as important by clicking on the "Important" label in the left-hand menu. This will move the email to the "Important" label and mark it with a red exclamation mark (!).
  3. Priority Inbox: Gmail's Priority Inbox feature automatically marks important emails as "Important" and moves them to the top of your inbox. You can enable Priority Inbox by going to Settings > Inbox > Priority Inbox.
  4. Custom labels: You can also create custom labels and mark important emails with them. For example, you can create a label called "Urgent" and mark important emails with it.

To view important emails in Gmail, you can:

  1. Starred emails: Go to the "Starred" label in the left-hand menu to view all starred emails.
  2. Important label: Go to the "Important" label in the left-hand menu to view all important emails.
  3. Priority Inbox: Go to the "Priority Inbox" tab in the top navigation bar to view all important emails.

You can also use filters to automatically mark important emails as important. For example, you can create a filter that marks emails from a specific sender or containing specific keywords as important.

Note: Gmail's importance marking feature is based on its algorithms and may not always accurately identify important emails. You can also use third-party extensions like Boomerang or Sanebox to help you manage your important emails.
