Adding the Gmail inbox widget:

1. Long-press on an empty area of your home screen.
2. Tap the "Widgets" option.
3. Scroll down and find the "Gmail" widget.
4. Tap and hold on the "Gmail" widget to move it to your desired location on the home screen.
5. Resize the widget by dragging the edges to the desired size.

Customizing the Gmail inbox widget:

1. Tap and hold on the Gmail inbox widget to enter edit mode.
2. Tap the "Settings" icon (represented by three vertical dots) on the top-right corner of the widget.
3. Choose from the following options:
   • Number of messages: Select how many unread messages you want to display.
   • Message preview: Choose whether to display a brief summary of each email or just the sender's name.
   • Refresh interval: Set how often the widget updates (e.g., every 15 minutes, every hour, etc.).
   • Show labels: Choose which labels (e.g., Inbox, Sent, etc.) you want to display.
4. Tap "Done" to save your changes.

Tips and variations:

• You can add multiple Gmail inbox widgets to your home screen, each displaying a different label or set of labels.
• To display a specific label, such as "Inbox" or "Unread," select the label from the "Show labels" option.
• If you have multiple Gmail accounts, you can add separate widgets for each account.
• You can also add a "Gmail" widget that displays a specific folder, such as "Sent" or "Drafts," by selecting the folder from the "Show labels" option.
