Gmail inbox mail compose
Here are the steps to compose a new email in Gmail:
Method 1: Composing a new email from the Inbox
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Compose" button in the top left corner of the screen, next to the "Inbox" button.
Method 2: Composing a new email from the Navigation Menu
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the three horizontal lines () in the top left corner of the screen to open the navigation menu.
- Click on "Compose" from the dropdown menu.
Composing the Email
- In the "To" field, enter the email address of the recipient(s).
- In the "Subject" field, enter a brief summary of the email.
- In the main body of the email, type your message.
- You can format your text using the toolbar above the compose window, which includes options for bold, italic, underline, and more.
- You can also attach files to your email by clicking on the "Attach file" button.
- When you're finished composing your email, click on the "Send" button to send it.
Additional Tips
- You can also use keyboard shortcuts to compose an email. For example, you can press "c" to open the compose window, and "s" to send the email.
- You can also use the "Quick compose" feature, which allows you to quickly compose an email without leaving the inbox. To do this, click on the "Quick compose" button in the top right corner of the inbox, and then enter the recipient's email address and subject line.
- You can also use the "Canned responses" feature, which allows you to save and reuse common email responses. To do this, click on the "More" menu in the compose window, and then select "Canned responses".
