Gmail logout settings
Here are the steps to change the logout settings in Gmail:
Method 1: Using the Gmail Web Interface
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
- Click on "Sign out" under the "Sign out" section.
- Choose the logout option you prefer:
- "Sign out of all other web sessions": This will sign you out of all other web sessions on all devices.
- "Sign out of other web sessions on this browser": This will sign you out of all other web sessions on the current browser.
- "Sign out of this browser only": This will sign you out of the current browser session only.
- Click "Save Changes" to save your changes.
Method 2: Using the Google Account Settings
- Go to the Google Account settings page.
- Click on "Security" from the menu on the left.
- Scroll down to the "Signing in to Google" section.
- Click on "Sign out" under the "Sign out" section.
- Choose the logout option you prefer:
- "Sign out of all other web sessions": This will sign you out of all other web sessions on all devices.
- "Sign out of other web sessions on this browser": This will sign you out of all other web sessions on the current browser.
- "Sign out of this browser only": This will sign you out of the current browser session only.
- Click "Save" to save your changes.
Additional Tips
- You can also set up automatic sign-out on your device by going to the Google Account settings page, clicking on "Security", and then clicking on "Signing in to Google". From there, you can toggle on the "Automatic sign-out" option.
- If you're using a shared computer or device, it's a good idea to sign out of your Gmail account regularly to protect your account from unauthorized access.
- If you're using a public computer or device, it's a good idea to sign out of your Gmail account immediately after you're finished using it to protect your account from unauthorized access.
