Gmail mail goggles

The infamous Gmail "Mail Goggles"!

Mail Goggles is a feature in Gmail that was introduced in 2009 as a way to help users avoid sending emails when they're feeling a little too tipsy or emotional. It's a tongue-in-cheek way to prevent users from sending regrettable emails, especially in the heat of the moment.

Here's how it works:

  1. When you're composing an email, you can enable Mail Goggles by clicking on the "Mail Goggles" button at the bottom of the compose window.
  2. Gmail will then ask you to confirm that you're sure you want to send the email. If you're not sure, it will ask you to wait for a few minutes before sending the email.
  3. If you're still unsure, Gmail will ask you to solve a simple math problem to prove that you're not too drunk or emotional to send the email.

The idea behind Mail Goggles is to give users a moment to reflect on their emotions and make sure they're sending an email that they won't regret later. It's a lighthearted way to encourage users to think before they click "Send".

While Mail Goggles is no longer a default feature in Gmail, you can still enable it by searching for "Mail Goggles" in the Gmail settings menu.
