Gmail mass mail
The art of sending mass emails!
Gmail has a built-in feature called "Canned Responses" (formerly known as "Templates") that allows you to create and send pre-written emails to multiple recipients. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use it:
Create a Canned Response:
- Log in to your Gmail account and compose a new email.
- Write the email you want to send to multiple recipients. You can use placeholders like
{{name}}
for the recipient's name,{{email}}
for their email address, etc. - Click on the three vertical dots at the bottom of the compose window and select "Canned responses" > "New canned response".
- Give your response a name and click "Save".
Send a Mass Email:
- Log in to your Gmail account and go to the "Compose" window.
- Click on the "Canned responses" dropdown menu and select the response you created earlier.
- Enter the email addresses of the recipients in the "To" field, separated by commas.
- Click "Send".
Tips and Variations:
- You can also use third-party add-ons like Boomerang or Sanebox to send mass emails with more advanced features.
- If you need to send a large number of emails, consider using a bulk email service like Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
- Be cautious when sending mass emails, as they can be flagged as spam by recipients' email providers.
- Make sure to personalize your emails by using the recipient's name and other relevant information.
Example of a Canned Response:
